In The News: Toddler Injured on Acid Coated Slide

from here:

MIDDLE RIVER, Md., April 15 A toddler suffered serious chemical burns from sliding on playground equipment vandals had coated with a drain cleaner in Middle River, Md.

“What kind of sick joke is that?,” Carol Duschl, whose 2-year-old son, Peyton, was burned Saturday at the Villa Elementary School playground, asked WMAR-TV, Baltimore. Peyton was scheduled for surgery Sunday at Johns Hopkins Hospital and could be hospitalized for several weeks, the TV news reported.

The drain cleaner, with a high concentration of sulfuric acid, was stolen from a locked storage facility at the school and was poured all over the school’s playground equipment, police said.

who does something like this? this goes WAY beyond the boundaries of ‘a joke.’ this is just sick and wrong. whoever did it should be made to sit in a tub of drain cleaner for a few minutes.
