indeed it hurts…
My shoulder is killing me. It was actually ok most of the day, then we went up to the grocery store to get toilet paper and a few other essentials. Nothing like pushing a stroller that doesn’t like to be steered for 8 blocks each way and then trying to maneuver it through a grocery store. Gage likes the walk though. We went up together once before for a few things. Today he got out of the stroller in the store (which did, admittedly, make it easier to maneuver) and started grabbing various things from the shelves. Apples, a box of cereal and a box of Finding Nemo fruit snacks. He got the fruit snacks and the apples. But I draw the line at a $5 box of cereal when there’s a perfectly good box of the same cereal at home, especially since Gage has developed a habit of throwing handfuls of cereal on the floor for the dog — the dog isn’t complaining, but I sure as hell am.
Anyhoo, back to my shoulder… it hurts. Yes, we’ve covered that. I can’t tell if there’s any manner of swelling or discoloration, but I must say that I’m beginning to wonder if I might have really screwed it up. There are times, periodically through the day, where my arm does not feel like it’s attached to me. It’s very difficult to make it do what I want it to do. Sometimes it’s like I’m trying to move my arm through jello or something. My hand functions fine, but it’s like I’m fighting for control of the arm itself. Disturbing, really. Unfortunately I lack the funds and insurance to see a doctor and I really don’t know if the hospital up the road takes appointments… *le sigh*
It hurts even more when you’re watching Donald Sutherland get stoned with Tom Hulce and laughing your ass off.
