Spring semester comes to an end today. I have but to take the practical for my meat and fish fabrication course, which I’m very excited for. I treat these exams like culinary competitions — testing my mettle against my classmates and hoping to come out on top. More often than not, I’m among those who receive the highest praise and I can’t help but carry an ego boost from it. Today should be no different. The down side is that I now have to wait out the summer months for the next semester to begin. Two more semesters to go to finish out degrees in both culinary and pastry arts. The real world application of both is… in a word… delicious.

In other exciting news, my boy turned 13 today. Officially a teenager. Let the chaos ensue.
