randomly chaotic and frequently mundane

I sold a few things on eBay. Patterns, knick knacks… also, my french maid costume and Gage’s Tigger costume. The Tigger costume was nice. It didn’t sell, but the watcher sent me a message that she was out when the auction ended and asked if I’d relist it with a $7 buy it now (there was no BIN on the original auction, and it started at$2.50). I relisted it with a $5 BIN. I’m glad I did. When she sent the paypal payment, the note said that she showed the auction to her son who was very excited about the costume and was really excited by the idea of being Tigger for Halloween. It’s a great costume and Gage looked adorable in it, but he can’t fit it anymore… so it’s nice that it’ll go to another little boy who’s really excited about it. It’s really nice, you know?

In other cuteness news… Gage has begun to tickle. No seriously. He came up behind me yesterday and started tickling at my tummy and sides and saying “tickletickletickle” and giggling his butt off. It was so cute. And so much fun! So we spent an hour chasing and tickling and laughing until we couldn’t breathe and collapsed on the couch in exhaustion. THAT’s the good stuff.

I’ve begun plotting my search for employment. Going to get a part-time job while Gage is in school. I picked up an application at the Conoco up the road already. Just gotta fill it out and stuff. It’ll be fun looking up all the past employment information. Especially since my last job is no longer there (it was a seasonal Kiosk), I don’t know the last name of the manager I had at Harry and David — he’s just “Louie.” I’ll have to look up phone numbers and stuff. Fun fun fun. I think I’ll put all the info in a notepad so I can reference it without having to look it up over and over again. There are a few other places in walking distance here. A dry cleaner, liquor store and dollar-scoop chinese place off the top of my head,not to mention a Lamars donut shop (yummy yummy). There’s more further away.

Had some stuff on ebay that did pretty well. Got almost $40 for my waterford crystal bowl, which is most excellent. Gotta pack that very carefully for shipping. The person who bought it didn’t opt for insurance. I plan to insure it anyway. Just chalk it up to “CMA” covering my ass. I didn’t price them before I listed it, so no doubt the buyer got a good deal. It’s not like I used it much anyway. It was (feel free to laugh at this) used as a condom bowl. All in all I made about $60 before shipping, so that’s not too shabby. Sold my frog tea set as well. I don’t use it anymore anyway… might as well go to someone who can use or display it. Need to continue going through stuff for ebay.

lawn still not mowed. the guy called this morning for clarification on where the house is… dunno if he got lost or just decided “fuck it” i’m starting to get really pissed off by this whole lawn thing. seriously.

half.com listings aren’t doing bad… so far 2 things have sold, i just gotta get some packing tape so i can ship em. i think that i’m gonna use them from now on when i have books, cds and movies that need selling. it just makes a little more sense.

but i’ve put up a bunch of my books on half.com. there will be more listed soon, no doubt. need to lighten the load and raise a little dough. there are also the ebay auctions if anyone’s interested.

gage is having fun today… he’s currently running around in his avalanche jersey, a pull-up and his snow boots.  and i think he wants a bath.  hopefully not in his clothes.

i’m hoping gage decides he wants to nap.  i can’t clean the living room while he’s awake — he throws a fit when i pick anything up (since the bulk of what’s scattered around the room are his crayons, video cases and toys).  he was half passed out a few minutes ago, and then he decided it’s time to play again.

i also need to do more ebay listing.  doing it with gage about is difficult.  he decides he wants the things i’m trying to sell.  i was going to list a frog candle holder, and gage took it before i could, to use as a personal cup holder.   eh, he can have it.  it’s cute seeing him carry that around the house w/ a sippy cup in it.  also gotta label a few things for shipping from the last round.  waiting on some shipping supplies.  blah.

don’t think we’re walking up to 7-11 today.  he’s coughing and retching a lot.  he also won’t let me put pants on him.  it’s hard enough to get a pull up on him today.  trying to put pants on him has gotten me kicked in the face twice.  fortunately i saw it coming, so he just kinda clipped me.

the time has come for ebay auctions round 2.  this is just what i’ve listed today.  i plan to do more tomorrow, including some jewelry (i have a lot of pewter pendants) and a frog candleholder.  i might list some candles again in pairs, groups, lots, etc.  the last batch of auctions actually earned almost enough to pay the phone bill.  which rocks muchly, we need the dough very much badly.  which is part of why the listing frenzy.  so do a girl a solid… bid early bid often and buy things from me

gage is on a nightmare before christmas kick again.  not that i’m complaining.  i love the movie.  i think it’s great the he enjoys it so much.  he even sings along to the songs, which is cute as hell.  last night he was walking around the living room saying “careful my precious jewel.”  it cracked me up.

doing a marathon run of laundry today.  since i went over a week with no laundry soap.  utilizing the nice weather and the clothes line for drying.  everything will of course get a fluff in the dryer later so it’s not so stiff…

i need to start going thru stuff for ebay selling round two.

gage needs shoes.  all his shoes are either too small or about to be too small.  except for his snowboots, but he can’t be running around in those in the summer, lol.  gotta get him some new sneakers and sandals.

got his IEP progress report yesterday.  he’s making progress.  this is good.  he’s also going on a field trip next week, wee.  i don’t join them on field trips.  as much as i would love to, it’s not a good idea.  gage wouldn’t let me leave when it was time for me to go home… that’s why i haven’t visited his classroom except to pick him up early once or twice.

i’m working on putting together the second round of stuff to list on ebay.  this lot will include some of gage’s old summer clothes, stuff he’s outgrown that can’t even be used for play clothes.

i have a tremendous craving for a nice seafood feast… some crab legs… shrimp… clams… scallops… maybe a few mussels.  mmm.  or lobster.  lobster would be good.  we did a cool seafood feast back in october i think it was…  we each had a shoulder of crab legs, 2 medium sea scallops, 4 extra large shrimp… i think there were also a few clams.  i don’t remember.  i do remember that i did something different with each… steamed the crab, rubbed the shrimp w/ cayenne before cooking it… rubbed garlic on the scallops and seared them in butter… numminess all around.

so i’m reading dragon wing by margaret weiss and tracy hickman… it’s alright. it’s just not grabbing and holding my attention.  it grabs it and then it lets it go again.  over and over again.  not sure i’ll ever read anythign else in this series.  but i’ll finish this one.  i’m sure there are people who are huge fans of the deathgate cycle who just can’t get into dragonlance, which i happen to love (also by margaret weiss and tracy hickman).

need to go to the store today.  maybe walmart, too.  gotta get a lot of shipping supplies for the stuff that sold.  need to find a box that will fit the isis dagger… the wall mount is about 21″ long.
