i got my noah’s ark starter kit in the mail today. lots of good stuff in there. i’m contemplating using some of the free stuff for giveaways to help get sales and promote. got a few animal kits — gage stole one of them. also got some bella bee stuff, some of the glamour cosmetics and some of the body products. gage also stole the queen bee that came with the bella bee stuff.

tonight after he goes to bed i’ll put together some of the mini catalogs for handing out.

NAAW starter kit ordered… they called a few minutes ago to find out what size shirts i need, since it comes with a Noah’s Ark polo shirt and a Bella Bee t-shirt. my goal is to be ready to do “promoting” by the time gage starts the summer program at the school.

he he, gage is reading dr. seuss’s abc’s to me. it’s so cute.

someone’s supposed to come over today and do the lawn. there is much to do today… unfortunately, cleaning the living room can’t happen till gage goes to bed. but i can get other stuff done.

very chilly and rainy. and my comforter is outside on the clothesline. i put it out there to dry a little before it started raining and forgot about it. once the clothes in the dryer are done i’ll haul it in, put it through the spin cycle and then pop it in the dryer.

i ordered a starter kit for noah’s ark animal workshop today. i’m working on an introductory letter to put in the mini catalogs for when i go putting them on every door and windshield i can in town *g*

actually, i need to get rid of stuff… sell stuff. list stuff on ebay and stuff. how many times can i say stuff in one post?

ok, so i tried to mow the lawn. the lawn mower won’t start. he doesn’t like me, i think. i also think he wants to hurt me and drink my blood. lawnmower is a big scary beast. me no rikey. of course, i’ve never mowed a lawn before… and i’ve never started a lawnmower before… so i’m probably doing it all wrong.

put up some flyers earlier… also went again to the places up by java and scoops to see if anyone’s hiring. got the prices for the hair salon… eventually i’ll be able to get my hair cut. it’s only been about 3 years…

what i need, is a space to have a noah’s ark/stuff a friend hostess party that is not my home and doesn’t cost anything. then i can just put up flyers and stuff inviting people. do the party, get lots and lots of orders and make some money. and maybe get more parties booked that would be good.

need to go to the grocery store… need some food stuffs and some household stuffs.  cat litter springs to mind.  ziggy is bitching at me.

so stuff a friend and noah’s ark animal workshop have merged.  which on one hand is nice, it expands the selection by quite a margin — so that’s pretty cool.  there’s also bella bee which after reading about it really appeals to me.  i could certainly see doing some bella bee workshops in the future.

on the other hand… now it’s a new company, new rules, new commission structure… i have to re-think things and figure out how to proceed all over again.  plus there’s the stuff a friend promotional stuff that i’ve got.

i did buy a domain name to redirect to my SAF/NAAW page, http://www.bearyspecialhugs.com  did some preliminary advertising today… hung some flyers and stuff.  i need to get a new color cartridge for the printer so i can make colored flyers.

there are some other groovy benefits.  i signed gage up for mojo’s birthday club, which kids 13 and under are eligible for.  he should get a birthday card and a little present from mojo every year.  i’m hoping i signed him up soon enough to get it this year… i’m really curious.

i need to buy a starter kit for NAAW.  there’s a pretty good one that comes w/ 3 animals, complete iwth outfits, and a fuckton of advertising materials.  plus 60 promotional mailings in my zipcode… not too bad for $129.

hmm… i get hits on the website… but no purchases so far. tho i know someone who wants to buy 3 huskies when they’re back in stock. i’ve been putting flyers telephone poles and sticking them on cars whenever we go to the grocery store. everytime i do, i get hits on the site, so i’m sure it’s just a matter of time. i need to get a new color cartridge so i can print color flyers.

someone on the SAF forum suggested getting those little 4-packs of crayons, putting a sticker advertising the site on them and printing out a SAF coloring page then leaving them in various places that kids frequent. a good idea except that the only coloring page currently available is the xmas one. so the crayons i got anticipating an easter page haven’t been used yet.

i’m thinking maybe bubbles. those little bottles, like the size they give out at weddings, with a SAF label on them.

so me and tiger re-started taking our walks yesterday after about a week and a half delay. i also wild released some bookcrossing books while i was at it. of course, today i release 3 bookcrossing books… and we get almost home and it starts snowing. *blink* ALBINO BRAIN CHIGGERS!!!

and the books aren’t wrapped in ziplock bags or anything. enough with the damn snow, for fuck’s sake! i didn’t order this. and if i find out who did i’m going to do them serious bodily harm. i did notice someone else who was walking thru the same area stop and look at one of the books i released… so maybe he picked it up (sidebar: maybe i’ve been watching too much judging amy, but he looked an awful lot like kevin rahm).

i also put up some stuff-a-friend flyers on our walk yesterday. so it was triply productive. do i expect a lot of sales from the posting of flyers on telephone poles? no, not really. but a girl can hope. 20 sales would pay the phone bill, lol. actually, i wouldn’t mind doing a few birthday parties. and woody said he’d help me out with those if i got any booked. what i need is a color cartridge for the printer and some paper, since i’m out of both. print up a stack of color flyers and stick em on cars everywhere i go. also need to buy a domain specifically for my SAF site to redirect to. i have one in mind, and it’s available. just have to buy.

gage did the lunch thing again today. took it from me and carried it onto the bus. i guess now he’s identifying that batman bag as his, and full of yummy stuff for him to eat. good.  whatever connection it takes, ya know?

i am in pain… having pain in the sternum/diaphram area. it comes and goes. it feels like something is pressing and squeezing… a burning pain stabbing pain. usually comes with intense nausea, occasional vomiting of bile. lasts anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. oh yeah, good times.

it’s snowing. just so you know you read that right… it’s snowing. a lot. i’m pretty sure this is the last snow storm before spring breaks for good. fortunately, all the seeds i planted a couple of weeks ago have high frost tolerance. maybe they’ll start popping up when the snow melts.

the cleaning is done. seriously. this house is clean. all i had to do today was straighten a little bit and vacuum, which i think i need to do everyday between the 3 animals and the little boy what drops food regularly. it’s nice to look around and NOT think “i need to clean the….”

at the moment, gage is sitting in a box full of packing peanuts. i don’t know why. i let him keep the box because he seems to like the feel of the peanuts and doesn’t spill them all over the place. nor does he attempt to eat them. now he’s sitting in them. i suppose they might make a nice soft seat. never really thought about it.

tomorrow is a field trip day. gage’s class is going to the pool. he’s gonna love that. so tomorrow i have to dress him w/ his swim trunks under his clothes. and since we couldn’t find any “little swimmers” i’ll have to send a note for the teachers to remove the pull up before he gets in the water. the only problem i can see them having with gage tomorrow will be the desire not to leave the water. he LOVES playing in the water.

i have a wolf/husky from stuffafriend that i haven’t done anything with. i’m thinking about maybe trying to get gage to participate in stuffing it. it’s so cute and soft i think he’ll love it.
