Meeting Poison

For most people, meeting any celebrity (particularly one that you've admired for quite some time) is a whirlwind of excitement, unspoken sentiments, and a brief passing moment that leaves one wishing they could do it again... do it differently. For me, meeting Poison (whom I had been a fan of for 13 years when it finally happened) was quite a different experience. Was I giddy? Yes, inside I was a bit giddy with excitement. But I kept my cool, and was able to say the things I wanted to say. The real reason I was able to remain cool, confident and lucid when I met Poison is probably because prior to meeting the band, I had an e-mail friendship with Rikki. I'm also the person responsible for putting the Fan Club idea into Rikki's head, and one of the parties who brought ClubRockett to fruition. As a result, the level of e-communication I had with Rikki is probably why I was so cool in the situation. The fact that Rikki is the first member I met (and stupidly forgot to take a picture with) probably helped me keep my cool with the others.
